Much of the public believes that only people who are "crazy" would go to a "shrink." Well, nothing could be further from the truth. Although many ordinary people do suffer from depression, anxiety, grief and adjustment to trauma in their lives, this doesn't make them "crazy." I am here to help you with what are often ordinary problems. Some of my clients think of me as their "Personal Life Consultant."

Though my psychotherapy practice is general — I work with adults, couples and families — I have an interest in working with people who suffer from chronic diseases, like cancer, arthritis or fibromyalgia. I have twenty years of experience working with chronic and life-threatening illnesses. I can't make your diseases vanish, but I can help you cope better and feel less alone.

I also welcome many of my clients who come from cultures outside the United States, or who are in mixed-culture relationships. Cultural adjustments can result in feelings of loneliness, loss and confusion about who you are and what you believe in. Working together in psychotherapy can help you to develop a new sense of yourself, while also building your self-esteem and clarifying your values.
